I Take Risks-
For my Ariel Project for the Artist Steal I took the risk of using chalk pastel. I thought that since chalk pastel blends very well it would make the water and gunk, and Ariel herself look very realistic. The risk though, is that I didn't really know how to use the material that well. We had only just learned how, and it was not on a project as big as this. Using chalk pastel could have turned out as a complete disaster and not have made the picture come out looking pretty decent, that's why this material was a big risk for me.
I Developed My Art Making Skills-
Throughout this project, I improved and developed how I create and view art. this project helped me learn how to make chalk pastel look better and better. Also how to clean up your mistakes. this project helped me lean to use coloring and shading. The tires proved to be difficult because I had to use multiple different colors that were very similar, but i had trouble trying to identify where all of the lines and everything were.
